On Friday, California First Lady Maria Shriver came to Watsonville to encourage poor families to use food stamps to buy healthy fruits and vegetables. A group called the Brown Berets drove her away, shouting “You're not welcome here” and “racist.”  According to New West Notes, the incident was similar to an event in the 2003 recall campaign, where Democratic dirty trickster Bob Mulholland had union members disrupt her first campaign event.  Mulholland, now working for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Phil Angelides, refused to comment on the latest incident.
