CO-05 update [Greg Pollowitz]
The CO-05 has gone to a Republican every year since the seat was created in 1972.  The current Representative, Republican Joel Hefley, is retiring.  Hefley has refused to endorse the Republican in the race,  Doug Lamborn, due to Lamborn's "dishonest" and "sleazy" primary campaign.  Running for the Democrats is Air Force Academy graduate General Jay Fawcett .
CQ moved the race from "Republican Safe to Republican Favored" and Mason Dixon has the race tied, 37%-37%.
Fawcett's biography is a perfect fit for the district, which is home to the Air Force Academy.  The District is still very Republican, with almost a 2:1 Republican voter registration advantage.
It will be interesting to see if the NRCC or the DCCC come to the aid of either candidate.  As of the last FEC report, both candidates are a little low on campaign cash with about $65K each.
